其實有時候雙方都知道，只是不敢去戳破它。那何不嘗試說出來呢？也許結果並不比想象中地差。因為父母最終還是愛自己的孩子，而孩子也必然會成長，活出自己的人生。將社會對同志的態度成功翻轉為友善，法律保障跟平等待遇是不可或缺的，不過一樣重要的是家庭內的溝通跟諒解。我們都知道這不容易，那不妨和家人攜手來場久違的電影約會吧！說不定就能順利開啟話題囉~~
Parents know and the children know the parents know, but no one dares to break the facade. Through time, family members grow further apart and the awkward silence becomes even more difficult to break. But at the end of the day, parents still love their children unconditionally and just want them to be happy. As for the children, sometime it is taking that extra courageous step and being real...because pretending just takes too much work.
In tandem to all the protests in the streets and the legal quests for equality, something just as important needs to take place in the home: truthful and heartfelt dialogue to bring the family closer together. It is not the easiest thing to do, and sometimes going to see a movie is the best way to thaw that thickened ice.
